Now that the College of Liberal Arts first Professional Forum is over I think everyone is excited to begin planning and improving for the next. It was frustrating because of course I wish there were more companies and more students but most of all I wish there was more communication. Unfortunately the lack of a central planning committee for the fair caused me to feel very detached the actual day of the event. By increasing communication between all parties involved and articulating one vision everyone can contribute to its success and know where they fit into it’s overall plan. I look forward to working on the creation of such a committee or board. By providing CLA students with a platform to voice their opinions and make decisions regarding their professional future Career Development will be empowering it’s audience like never before. My next project is helping to make sure this vision becomes a reality, and I look forward to the day that it does :)
